Who is Jeanne Hartman?

THE FILM ACTOR'S COMPLETE CAREER GUIDE, available in bookstores across the United States recommends JEANNE HARTMAN in the area of cold reading technique: For cold reading coaching... for film and television... Jeanne Hartman, first and foremost among the many coaches that include such coaching in their over-all programs.

Ms Hartman has taught professional actors for over fifteen years, specializing in audition technique. She has been a personal dialogue coach and trained actors in script preparation for fim roles.. She also has coached writers on performance technique for pitch sessions and has prepared writers for book tour reading performances.

JEANNE HARTMAN has both talent and experience as an actor and singer and therefore she understands the performance side of the actor having worked for years on stage, on camera and in the voice over studio. She has performed across the U.S. and internationally working with major stars, directors and a throng of immensely talented actors and singers. As a Juilliard graduate and one of the youngest members of the Centre Lyrique Internationale she has studied with and been directed by renowned artists, both in the U.S. and Europe.

An Iowa farmer's daughter who learned to bake bread when she was five and started to demonstrate how to do it to others when she was six, JEANNE HARTMAN was unafraid to travel to New York City to study at the renowned Juilliard School. After performing for years as an actress and a singer in many cities and many countries, Ms. Hartman found herself teaching others what she had learned.

When she was asked how she learned how to milk a cow, "Just face that cow, well really get on her right side, well it's the cow's left side actually and JUST DO IT."

SHE NEEDED TO KNOW MORE

That's when the detective in Ms. Hartman began to develop. Over the last 20 years, she has developed her sixth sense, her detective skills, shall we say, in discovering what makes an actor believable and what stops him from creating an exciting, engaging performance.

Using similiar successful techniques that work for her actors, Ms. Hartman has helped CEOs, writers going out on book tours and corporation teams who want to improve their public speaking talents.
